The Top Ten TNA Knockouts - 2010

Last year I did a top ten TNA Knockouts Hub, but things have changed so much in the TNA Roster, I thought it was about time to do another one.
There are some huge shifts in their line-up and probably more on the way as this wrestling promotion seems to lose and gain talent at a frightening pace.
When TNA started, I really hoped they would at least be competition for WWE.
Alas, the idea seems further and further away.
Now bear in mind that this is a popularity list, gathered from Internet searches and my female wrestling blogs.
This has nothing to do with talent.
So without further ado, her are the top ten most popular TNA Knockouts as of right now....

1. Velvet Sky

See all 10 photos

I almost cried foul last year when this woman who I consider to be one of the hottest women in wrestling today, Velvet Sky, only got up to number seven.
Well she made up for it this year as she moves into the number one position in the TNA Knockout roster.
And now she seems set to feud with her former Beautiful People partner, the returning Angelina Love.

2. Tara

Tara, Victoria or Lisa Marie Varon, it doesn't matter what you call her, she came in at number two last year, and number two this year.
Currently, she is a 3-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion.
We are still waiting for her MMA debut...

3. ODB

ODB (Jessica Kresa)

Again, no movement as ODB stays at number three for the second time.
She is another three time TNA Women's Knockout Champion and won both Queen of the Cage and the New Year's Knockout Eve Tournament in 2009.

4. Hamada

Hamada (Ayako Valentina Hamada Villareal)

Now we have a new entry as Hamada didn't even make it into the top ten last year.
Was she even working for TNA then?
Ayako Hamada was a big Lucha Libre and Joshi Puroresu star in Mexico and Japan before even setting foot in a TNA ring.

5. Sarita

Another newcomer as Canadian born lucha libre star Sarita comes in at number four.
Besides Sarita, she's been known as Dark Angel and Sarah Stock since her pro wrestling debut in 2002.

6. Christy Hemme

Christy Hemme left the wrestling ring to become a back stage interviewer, and dropped from number four to number six.
I hate to see her leave the ring, because she was one of the female wrestlers that really looked like she was always trying to improve.
But an injury is an injury.

7. Angelina Love

After all the crap she went through in 2009, I'm happy that I was able to even put Angelina Love on the roster!
Angelina is back now and she's a face, which I am not so crazy about because I thought she was one of the best heels TNA had.

8. Awesome Kong

Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens)

There are rumors that Awesome Kong's future with TNA may be ending soon.
As it is, she has dropped from sixth place to eighth here on the list.
She did beat up Bubba the Love Sponge, and that's always a plus and as of right now, she is still on the TNA roster.

9. Traci Brooks

Traci Brooks had more than her share of disappointments last year.
But on the bright side, she wasn't even in the top ten last time.
You have to wonder if TNA really knows what to do with her.

And rounding out the top ten is only woman to hold both the TNA Knockout belt and TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship, Taylor Wilde.
Taylor fell from eight last time to ten this time and she and Sarita lost the tag-team belts to Kong and Hamada.

Of course number nine last year Rhaka Khan is no longer with TNA.
And like Rhaka Khan, last year's number one Knockout Lauren is no longer with TNA.
And even though she gets pretty much bashed for her in ring abilities, I really expected to see Lacey Von Erich in the top ten.
No Madison Rayne either, she and Daffney just missed it.
Others I expected to see here were Kristal Lashley and SoCal Val.
I mean c'mon, they are both real life Knockouts.

Update: 5-21-2010

You know I was thinking about updating this Hub, but as of me writing this...TNA only has eleven Knockouts!
And two of them are out with injuries!

So rather than updating the whole Hub, here is the current ranking....

1. Hamada
2. ODB
3. Sarita (probably going to WWE soon)
4. Angelina Love (out with an injury)
5. Velvet Sky
6. Daffney (out with an injury)
7. Lacey Von Erich
8. Taylor Wilde (probably going to WWE soon)
9. Madison Rayne
10. Roxxi

Since I first did this list, Traci Brooks, Awesome Kong and Tara have all left TNA.
And Like I said, Sarita and Taylor Wilde will probably be leaving soon.
But on a bright note, it's rumored TNA is trying to sign Mickie James.
