The Hottest Women of Fantasy and Sci Fi - 2
72More of the hottest women in fantasy and sci-fi with Zooey Deschanel, Charlize Theron, Christina Hendricks and more.
Here we go again with the hottest women in sci-fi and fantasy films.
And yes, a few from TV as well.
This time we have at least two Oscar winners.
Pretty impressive huh?
Zooey Deschanel
Cute/sexy/hot Zooey Deschanel was born on January 17, 1980 in Los Angeles, California and is the sister of Emily Deschanel (Bones).
Zooey has had several forays into Sci Fi and Fantasy including Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Once Upon a Mattress (2005), Bridge to Terabithia (2007) and The Happening (2008).
Besides acting Zooey has performed in a jazz cabaret act and released two albums.
Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron was born on August 7, 1975 in Benoni, Transvaal Province, South Africa.
Charlize has won an Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role - Motion Picture among a whole slew of other awards.
And she has done her fair share of sci fi and fantasy.
Charlize's Fantasy Sci -Fi roles so far....Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995), The Devil's Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998), The Astronaut's Wife (1999), The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000), Æon Flux (2005), Hancock (2008).
And maybe Hancock 2, if it ever happens.
Christina Hendricks
Before her role as Joan Holloway in the television series Mad Men, Christina Hendricks was known to Sci Fi fans as Saffron in the science fiction TV series Firefly.
Or "YoSaffBridge" as Mal called her.
She also appeared in one episode of Tru Calling on Fox with Eliza Dushku.
Of course with a figure like hers, her measurements are a popular topic.
Most sites agree on 36-32-36.
Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale was born on July 26th, 1973 in London, England.
Although she has appeared in several Sci Fi/Fantasy films, I guess her biggest fame lies in the murky line between fantasy and horror with the Underworld film series as Selene.
Kate's other Fantasy Sci -Fi roles...Haunted (1995), Serendipity (2001, she was nominated for a Saturn Award for that film), Van Helsing (2004), Click (2006).
Milla Jovovich
And now we have one of the modern day grande dames of science fiction and fantasy films, Milla Jovovich.
Starting with her role as Leeloo in The Fifth Element (1997), then moving on to her role as Alice in all four Resident Evil films and Violet Song jat Shariff in Ultraviolet (2006), Milla has played women that are not only the focal point of the films, but more than able to hold their own against anything thrown at them.
Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana is pretty much poised to become a huge star in Hollywood.
She has already appeared in the highest grossing film ever made, Avatar (2009), which by the way is a science fiction.
Zoe has also appeared in the adventure fantasy Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), she played Uhura in the Star Trek reboot (2009), The Skeptic (2009), and the Losers (2010) which even though is technically an action film, was based on a comic book.
She's set to appear in Avatar 2, and the Star Trek sequel.
Zoe is engaged to actor and CEO of My Fashion Database Keith Britton.
Jennifer Connelly
Now Jennifer Connelly (in my opinion) has a really good sci-fi/fantasy resume.
She appeared in a film that may very well be one of THE fantasy films of all time, Labyrinth (1985).
Jennifer also appeared in The Rocketeer (1991), Dark City (1998), the 2003 Hulk and The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008).
Heather Graham
I thought about listing Heather Graham just because of Austin Powers: the Spy Who Shagged Me.
I know the film is listed as a comedy, but it's got time machines, kamikaze fembots, a giant laser on the moon and a moon base.
But even if I don’t list Austin Powers, Heather still has Twin Peaks and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, an episode of The Outer Limits, Lost in Space and From Hell.
And if you have ever read an interview with Heather, she drifts a bit into the Fantasy realm in real life as well.
Anna Paquin
And finally we come to Anna Paquin.
Anna is probably best known now as Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood, and I won't even try to place that into fantasy because even with all the "otherkin" in it, I suppose it should go into horror.
But Anna did appear in X-Men (2000), X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) as Rogue.
By the way, did you know that Anna and her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer (Bill) are married?

I have always been a fan of Anna Paquin and Jennifer Connelly. Heather Graham has had a very odd acting career, but I liked her as Judy in Lost in Space. A superb list.
Mike
Kate Beckinsale is by far the hottest vampire I've ever seen!
Zoe Saldana my favorite, such a beautiful and strong young woman. Great list
Very good choices for sure!
I love kate Backinsale... Underworld trilogi movies.
A cool selection of tough babes. Can't wait to see Zoe Saldana in the next Avatar and Start Trek movies. I am a huge sci-fi fan. Great hubs! Cheers!
One of my favorites is Sigourney Weaver in the Alien trilogy.
Hmmmm...great list Sabre...was wondering if Linda Hamilton should be on there...she did star in both Terminator and T-2, as well as that t.v. show Beauty and the Beast.
