Japanese Women Wrestlers 2

Here is my second Hub of Japanese female wrestling stars.
Some are retired, but some of these ladies are still going strong.

Megumi Kudo
And now the woman who's last match was the "No ropes 200V double hell double barbed wire barricade double landmine glass crush death match".
The "Evil Princess" Megumi Kudo was born on September 20, 1969 in Koshigaya, Saitama, Japan.
Megumi really had two starts in wrestling.
She tried first at the age of sixteen with All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling. She trained ther, but was released because they said she wasn't progressing well enough.
So Megumi tried her had as a kindergarten teacher. (Kinda scary isn't it?)
But Megumi was drawn to wrestling so she tried again, this time with Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling. FMW must have liked her because she quickly rose up through their ranks to the top.
And this beautiful young lady that once taught kindergarten specialized in death matches.
The match I mentioned before was her retirement match on April 29 1997 with Shark Tsuchiya.
In this match, the ropes were replaced with 200 volt electrified, double-layered barbed wire and the ring was surrounded by double layers of landmines and broken glass.
Sounds like fun huh?

Mimi Hagiwara
Mimi Hagiwara was a little different from most of the female wrestlers in Japan.
She was beautiful, had a slender body and wore wrestling suits that were a bit more reveling than what most of the other wrestlers wore.
I guess she was kind of a prototype for the WWE Divas to follow later.
Except she really could wrestle, having been trained by the legendary Jackie Saito.
Mimi held the WWWA Tag Team Wrestling titles (with Yukari Ohmori) and she held the All Pacific Women's Wrestling Championship twice.
Besides wrestling, Mimi appeared on the Japanese sci-fi TV series Kamen Rider, as Choko.

Mayumi Ozaki
With nicknames like "Pure Wild" and "Queen Of The Street Fight", you would guess that this young lady isn't very nice in the ring.
Mayumi worked for wrestling promotions like All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, GAEA Japan, Japan Women's Pro Wrestling and Japanese Japanese Women Pro-Wrestling Project.
Not to mention the OZ Academy (which she owns) that acts as a promotion and wrestling school.
During her career she has held the WWWA World Tag Team Championship (with Dynamite Kansai), the AAAW Singles Championship, the AAAW Tag Team Championship (three times with Aja Kong, Akira Hokuto and KAORU), the JWP Junior Championship (three times) and the UWA Junior Championship.

Mariko Yoshida
Mariko Yoshida (not the Japanese idol singer and model) made her pro wrestling debut on October 10th, 1988 at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall in a match against Keiko Waki.
Mariko used to be a high flyer, but after a serious neck injury, she changed her style to more of a mat based submission style of wrestling.
She has even started her own wrestling promotion Ibuki, that puts on shows twice a month.
Her goal with Ibuki is to train young wrestlers and give them a chance to get in the ring with some of the veterans to learn.
In 2006, Mariko became the second woman (the first was Cheerleader Melissa) to receive the Cauliflower Alley Club's Future Legend Award.
She has held the AJW Championship, the AJW Tag Team Championship (three times with Takako Inoue twice and once with Rie Tamada), the Queen of ARSION (twice), the Twin Star of ARSION (twice, once with Aja Kong and once with Lioness Asuka) and the CMLL World Women's Championship in Mexico.

Kyoko Inoue
Kyoko Inoue was trained by the legendary Jaguar Yokota and she made her pro wrestling debut against Takako Inoue (no relation) on October 10 1998 in Tokyo Japan.
Later Kyoko teamed with Takako to form the tag-team "Double Inoue".
In 1997, she founded the NEO Japan Ladies' Wrestling promotion.
And in 2000, Kyoko made Japanese wrestling history when she won the WEW Tag Team Championship with Kodo Fuyuki.
That made her the first woman to win a men's title in a Japanese pro wrestling promotion.
During her career, Kyoko has held the AJW Championship, the IWA World Women's Championship (twice), the WWWA World Heavyweight Championship (three times), the WWWA World Tag Team Championship (four times, all with Takako Inoue), the WEW World Street Fight 6-Man Tag Team Championship (twice, with Kodo Fuyuki and Chocoball Mukai), the WEW World Tag Team Championship (with with Hiromichi Fuyuki), the TWF World Women's Championship (twice) and the All Pacific Championship (twice).

Noriyo Tateno
Noriyo Tateno was one half of the legendary Japanese female tag-team (along with  Itsuki Yamazaki) The Jumping Bomb Angels.
She has worked for All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, Ladies' Legend Pro-Wrestling, Ladies Professional Wrestling Association and World Wrestling Federation, where she held the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship with Itsuki Yamazaki.

Apple Miyuki
Apple Miyuki was born Rumi Miyuki on June 14, 1985 in Tenri, Nara, Japan.
She works for the professional wrestling promotion Kaientai Dojo (though she has done some work for JDStar).
Apple started out on January 14, 2002, in Puerto Rico against another Kaientai Dojo wrestler, Ofune (K-DOJO actually started out as a small wrestling school in Puerto Rico run by Taka Michinoku).
She has held the WEW Hardcore Tag Team Championship twice with YOSHIYA, and is known for taking bumps in matches that most female wrestlers don't take.
Her nickname is "The Sadistic Princess".
