Female Wrestling - The Women of Wrestlicious
81Female Wrestling - The Women of Wrestlicious TakeDown
The all female wrestling promotion Wrestlicious: TakeDown finally had their first episode, and whether you threw bouquets or brickbats, you have to admire the amount of talent that they put on the show.
Even if you think they weren't used to the best of their abilities, they gave a lot of female wrestlers from the Indy wrestling promotions a chance to shine and got them some PR.
And like they say, "There is no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary."
The first episode was pretty much "GLOW spun through a time warp" and you could really see it in the sketches and rapping.
Yes...rapping, like the old "Glow Rap"before the matches.
I think Wrestlicious would be better off toning down the gimmicks, concentrating more on the wrestling, and maybe getting rid of that "Barbie Malibu Dream Ring" thing they have going on.
But like I said, they have some of the best wrestling talent out there, so here is a list of the female wrestlers that Wrestlicious has listed on their roster.
I did a shorter version of this on my Wrestlicious Hub, but this one is a bit more detailed and up to date.
A lot of the roster changed after the first few tapings, so I'll update as soon as I get new info.
Tyler Texas - Lorelei Lee
Amy Janas was born on June 22, 1982 and made her pro wrestling debut in 2004.
Amy is not only a wrestler, but also a bikini, figure and fitness competitor as well.
Ashley Simmons was born on February 5, 1986 and made her professional wrestling debut in 2004 as well.
Besides Amber Lively, she has wrestled under the names Ashley Lane, Lexi Lane and in TNA, Madison Rayne.
Kimberly Dawn Davis was born on June 22, 1974 and made her pro wrestling debut way back in 1999.
She started out in the Professional Girl Wrestling Association (PGWA) as Amber Holly, but changed her ring name to Amber O'Neal to avoid confusion with WWF/WWE Diva "Molly Holly".
Molly actually helped Amber in her tryout matches with the WWE.
Lacey Adkisson is the daughter of Kerry Von Erich and the granddaughter of Fritz Von Erich.
She was born on July 17, 1986 and made her wrestling debut in 2007.
Although Lacey appears in the promos, she had to be released by the company after signing with TNA.
Serena Deeb was born on June 29, 1986 and made her pro wrestling debut in 2005.
She has wrestled under the names, Mia Mancini, Serena, Serena Deeb, Serena Mancini and Paige Webb.
Serena was the six time OVW Women's Wrestling Champion.

Daizee has worked for a ton of Indy wrestling promotions like All Pro Wrestling, Anarchy Championship Wrestling, Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, NWA Midwest, Shimmer Women Athletes (where she's also the head trainer) and even did some work for TNA.
Half Vietnamese, quarter Italian and quarter Hungarian beauty Maria Santella plays Maui the Island Princess.
Though mainly a model, Maria has had some wrestling experience.
And get this, besides being a model and a wrestler. she's also a web developer!
Of course female wrestler Kristin Flake is one of my favorites because I did an interview with her on one of my wrestling blogs.
So I'm biased.
As far as her training goes, to quote my interview with her....
"I trained with Dory Funk Jr, for a very short time in my teens. I then took several years away for school and to rehab a back injury. When I decided to start full-time in the ring, Kamakazi Kid started training me at the CWF school in Burlington, NC. I also worked there with Jeff Rudd. And I credit Amber O'Neal and Persephone for training me as far as performance at actual shows."
She made her wrestling debut in 2007.
Glamour model and actress Lana Kinnear was born on July 29th, 1976.
You may remember her as Lana Star from the old WOW: Women of Wrestling wrestling promotion that was founded by David McLane who also founded GLOW and Powerful Women of Wrestling (POWW).
Christie Mathis was born on November 11, 1982 and made her pro wrestling debut in 2002.
She has worked for Lucha Libre Femenil, National Wrestling Alliance, Professional Girl Wrestling Association, Xcitement Wrestling Federation, Women's Extreme Wrestling (WEW), Shimmer Women Athletes and many others.
Canadian professional wrestler Danyah Rivietz made her pro wrestling debut in 2005.
Danyah started out in kick boxing and fitness, then moved to wrestling, training at the Squared Circle Pro Wrestling facility and the Devine Dungeon.
She's wrestled for Great Canadian Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Xtreme, Shimmer Women Athletes and NCW Femmes Fatales among other promotions
Nikki Tsugranes or Nikki The New York Knockout pulls double duty on Wrestlicious (I think) as both the superhero Super Nova and the heel character, Toni The Top.
One of my favorite Indy wrestlers, Rain was born Bonnie Maxon on September 10, 1981 and made her pro wrestling debut in 2000.
She has worked for IWA Mid-South, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), NWA Midwest, Ring of Honor, Shimmer Women Athletes, and Women Extreme Wrestling as Rain, and TNA as Payton Banks.
Rain has also worked for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico.
Rain's BFF Lacey plays White Magic (at least at first, I've heard that Maria Santella takes over the role later).
Like Rain, Lacey has worked for a ton of wrestling promotions including Ring of Honor, SHIMMER, IWA-Mid South, Full Impact Pro, NWA Midwest, CHIKARA, ChickFight and MTV's Wrestling Society X.
Jennifer Blake was trained by Derek Wylde and Cody Deaner and made her professional wrestling debut in 2007.
She's worked for Shimmer Women Athletes, Jersey All Pro Wrestling and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración among other promotions.
Elizabeth Miklosi was born on August 10, 1983 and made her wrestling debut in 2000.
She has wrestled under a lot of names including Miss Led (in her debut), Cheerleader Valentina, Jersey Jean, Jordan, JV Love, J-Love, Valentina Laree, Valentina, VJ Love and of course Lizzy Valentine and Kandi Kisses.
Rebecca Treston was born on February 3, 1982 and made her pro wrestling debut in 2002.
Becky is another young lady that has worked for almost every major Indy wrestling promotion including Ring of Honor (ROH), Full Impact Pro, Shimmer Women Athletes, Combat Zone Wrestling, IWA Mid South, Women's Extreme Wrestling, Wrestling Superstars Unleashed and Women Superstars Uncensored.
Independent pro wrestler Erica D’Erico has worked for Impact Zone Wrestling and International Championship Wrestling.
Mercedes Martinez was born on November 17, 1980 and made her professional wrestling debut in 2000.
Mercedes has worked for a ton of wrestling promotions, and held a lot of titles, at least fourteen with some being multiple title reigns.
Japanese-American model, actress, Professional tandem surfer, and Professional wrestler Lena Yada was born on November 12, 1978 and made her wrestling debut in 2008.
Lena was breifly a WWE Diva in 2008.
The Naughty Girls – Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews
In Shimmer Women Athletes, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews are known as the The Canadian Ninjas.
Kickflip Kitty (Helena Mayhem)
Helena Mayhem is not only a female wrestler, but she's an actress as well.
She appeared in the film Slime City Massacre and another film you may have heard of, The Wrestler.
Nevaeh (Kickstart Katie)
Nevaeh is Kickstart Katie.
She made her wrestling debut in 2005, and besides Wrestlicious, she has worked for Shimmer Women Athletes and Ring of Honor.
Jimmy’s Angels - Anaconda, Viper and Cobra
Loca (Cher Ferrerya) , Delta Lotta Pain (Jwaundace Candece) aka "Caged Heat" from WOW and Lotus (Jeannie Kim)
Lunch Ladies - Fern and Gert
Indy wrestlers Lexie Fyfe and Fantasia
The rest...
As far as I can tell, Cousin Cassie, Lil Slamm, Coco Montego, Draculetta, Bandita, Bootcamp Bailey, Jailbait and Amina are all models.
But they may be replaced with female wrestlers later, or trained as wrestlers.
UPDATES - Part One
Since I did this Hub, like I said there would be, there have been some changes to the Wrestlicious: TakeDown roster.
Loca (Cher Ferrerya), Delta Lotta Pain (Jwaundace Candece) aka "Caged Heat" from WOW and Lotus (Jeannie Kim), are now Anaconda, Cobra and Viper, respectively.
Azizza (a belly dancer, I have no idea who she is)

Beatrice Bristol and Penelope Bristol (Indy wrestlers Holly and Hannah Blossom, aka Team Blossom)
Bootcamp Bailey, Taylor Marion (On screen trainer, don't know who she is)
Charity (as Lorraine pointed out, Falycia Rose Pulver, an actress that has appeared on the TV show Popular and the Indy film Mina)
CoCo Montego (Indy wrestler Josette Bynum, who you may know better as Sojournor Bolt (Sojo Bolt) from TNA.
Emo Leigh
Emo Leigh (Indy wrestler Leva Bates who has worked for World Xtreme Wrestling, SHIMMER, Full Impact Pro, TNA and many more wrestling promotions)
Jezebel (Allison Plunkett who you may know better as indy wrestler Allison Wonderland)
Juvi Hall (Kayla Meltzer who is the daughter of former GLOW wrestler, Roxy Astor)
Masked Millie (Indy wrestler Ann Brookstone also known as Ann Thraxx)
Tina the Trigger (Indy wrestler Sammi Lane)
UPDATES - Part Two
Jimmy Hart said on The Bubba the Love Sponge Show that Wrestlicious is close to securing a television deal with MTV2.
MTV2?
Didn't MTV do the ill-fated Wrestling Society X?
Yes, we know they did.
UPDATES - Part Three
On May 16th, 2011, Wrestlicious announced that they had a deal with New York’s Union Square Agency.
They also said in the press release that they also had a letter of intent from a Viacom-owned network to show the next season.
Since Viacom owns MTV2, this maybe what Jimmy Hart was referring to on The Bubba the Love Sponge Show.
Their YouTube site hasn't been updated in 10 months, but they still are updating their Facebook page.

I have no doubt about that whatsoever! Please, I didn't mean to insinuate anything to the contrary! I just meant Kristin is so pretty...I look down automatically, a little shy. All the Female Wrestlers are very dedicated, and fierce looking. I compliment you all! Keep up the good work! I am a fan!
Now this is the type of female who really would whip a sissy males butt. That Kristin Flake really scared me.
Uhhh Draculetta is obviously Daffney bro...
Judy
Maybe you and your husband should join Mildred Burkes wrestling team. See comments above from copywriter31.
My husband and I enjoy wrestling each other for fun becouse we are very close in size and strength. The girls I see featured here are much smaller than me, but I am sure some of them could overpower a fair percentage of guys their own size or smaller. If a women has exceptionally strong legs and learns how to leg lock and grapevine a man with weaker legs. Take it from me when I put on my winter hiking boots and I wrestle with my husband I can totally overpower him 90% of the time.He is 5ft11 and 190 lbs to my 5ft7 180 lbs. But although his upper body is stronger than mine,my legs can still overpower his entire body.I played college soccer and enjoy competitive biking so my legs are exceptionally strong and very muscular.Do any of you other ladies out there have stronger legs than your husbands.
These woman look hot, would love to see some of their catfight video
Please, please, please put me in a ring with these hotties! I'll take the pain.
The list just keeps getting better and better.
sexy
Great hub!
No group of women will ever match (pun unintended) Mildred Burke's wrestlers. Burke was wise enough to cash in on mixed wrestling, filming her professional women wrestlers one-on-one with the wimpiest, skinniest, no-muscled men desperate for work.
Watching these mixed wrestling matches was hilarious because the men looked like skinny 12 year old kids. Burke was intelligent enough to know her tapes wouldn't sell unless the woman won every match... I wonder how a mixed match featuring "real" men wrestling Mildred's pros would have fared. We'll never know.
Very Interesting to Read!
Very Good Article!
Very nice. I like female bodybuilders. I would not care at all if she could bench more than me :)
Wes
WHERE THE MOUNATIN FIJI'S AND QUEEN KONG AT??/
very gog,,,
So sexy. They make me wet for some reason lol.
BTW Charity From Naughty Girls her real name is Falycia Rose Pulver
Fine list here! I'm hoping to do an interview w/ Lana Kinnear sometime real soon.
Draculetta is actually one of the most if not the most experienced wrestler of the whole bunch. She was Daffney in WCW, Lucy Furr in ROH, IWA and many more indy promotions. She now wrestles in TNA.
Honey I don't know why you ain't on Entertainment Television! you sure make a great correspondent. Great hub though. My fav female wrestler has to be Chyna from WWF now WWE I think? She was and still is amazing. I wanted to be a wrestler but my tits couldn't handle getting smaller!!!
Hi, darling Serena Deeb and Danyah wanna have a night with you hottis...
You are so dumb!
This was a nice read. I like when women are athletic, but not tooooo musclebound.
Some nice looking ladies there I must say.
Wow this is a great hub!
quite sexy
I really enjoyed this hub. I would not mind being body slammed by any of these beautiful athletes.
I never heard of Wrestlicious but I remember GLOW. You never fail to bring these ladies into the limelight my friend. Thanks as always.
You really did your homework, some of these girls are hot, some are a turn off. I enjoyed this, thanks.
Sexxy And Hot ladies
Very beautiful ladies, especially the first one. Very nice hub. :)
Tough and beautiful? What's not to like?
Wow, if I got beaten up or wrecked by any of these babes, it would be fantastic! Yes, that's the totally wrong thing to say, but at least the guys will agree with me! Heh! Great hub, Sabre! There are too many faves here for me to pick just one. Sweet! : )
