Beautiful Latin Women

Okay, I have done the women of Bollywood, Japanese actresses, Filipina actresses, Chinese actresses and Brazilian models.
So for this Hub, I'm going to do some of the beautiful Latin women that have graced the stage and screen.
This is my no means all of them, there are hundreds of lovely latinas out there, but this is just a few.
Starting off with someone who is pretty much a legend.....

How could you even consider doing a Latin Hub without Salma?
She's an actress, director, television and film producer, she has donated thousands to shelters for battered women and anti-domestic violence groups, and she is the first Mexican national to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Salma was born on September 2, 1966 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico.
Her mother was an opera singer and talent scout, and her father was an oil company executive.
Salma wanted to become a gymnast as a child, and she almost made it to the Mexican national team, but her father put an end to that.
She was sent to the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, at the age of twelve, but the nuns kicked her out for "behavioral problems" so she went back to Mexico.
Salma was all set to begin a career International Relations and was studying at the Universidad Iberoamericana when she suddenly dropped out to become an actress.
Her first role was in the Spanish-language telenovela, Un Nuevo Amanecer in 1988.
She moved on to another telenovela, Teresa and then to the short lived sitcom on Fox starring comedian Sinbad called (naturally) The Sinbad Show.
Salma got her first big break when she appeared in Allison Anders' film Mi Vida Loca. That lead to the 1994 film El Callejón de los Milagros where she caught the eye of Robert Rodriguez, who cast her in the role of Carolina in (one of my favorite films) 1995's Desperado.
She has gone on to appear in over thirty movies including 2002's Frida which garnered Salma a ton of nominations including Academy Award for Best Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

Okay, Roselyn Sánchez's career hasn't been as stellar as Salma's but she is still beautiful.
Roselyn was born on April 2nd 1973 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
At an early age she showed interest in dancing and acting putting on shows for her family. She put all that aside and went to University of Puerto Rico to study marketing like her father and brothers, but her heart wasn't in it, so she dropped out to move to New York and study acting, dancing and singing.
Her film debut was in a small role in the 1992 film Captain Ron with Martin Short and Kurt Russell.
In 1993, Roselyn won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest and in 1994 she won the international title of Miss American Petite.
Since Captain Ron, she has gone on to appear in eighteen films including Yellow in 2006 (which she wrote and produced), Edison (2005), Cayo (also in 2005) and Rush Hour 2 in which she also stared with the beautiful Zhang Ziyi.
Zhang Ziyi AND Roselyn Sanchez in one movie?
That almost makes up for Chris Tucker!

You may remember Tessie Santiago from the syndicated action-adventure television series Queen of Swords.
The show didn't do too well when it aired, but it has built up a cult following on the internet.
Tessie played Doña Maria Teresa (Tessa) Alvarado/The Queen of Swords in the show.
Tessie herself was born on August 10, 1975 in Miami, Florida and is of Cuban decent.
After Queen of Swords, Tessie went on to appear in the TV series Good Morning, Miami, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Kitchen Confidential , One on One and One Hot Summer.
As far as movies go, she has appeared in The Way She Moves (2000), The Way Back Home (2005) , Break-In (2006) and the straight to video release, The Cell 2 (2009).

Carmen Dominicci was born on July 15, 1966 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
She's a model, television reporter and PSA representative.
Carmen started out doing TV commercials and beauty pageants in Puerto Rico in the 1980s and represented Puerto Rico in modeling competitions in United States and Europe.
Then she started acting in theater and in mini-series which helped to make her famous.
Carmen left modeling and acting and started studying journalism.
She Magna graduated Cum Laude from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon and has won several awards during her career including three Emmy regional awards, a Paoli and a Ace award.
Carmen has appeared on Primer impacto, Don Francisco presenta and El show de Cristina.

Actress, model and TV Host Giselle Blondet, was born on January 9, 1966 in New York, New York.
Giselle began her rise to fame at the age of fourteen, she she stared working on Puerto Rico's telenovelas.
She appeared in "El ídolo" (1980), "Cantaré para tí" (1985) and "La cruz de papel" (1986) among others.
Her career really took off in 1997, when she became the co-host of Univisión's international show Despierta América.
Giselle's path hasnt been an easy one.
She left the wildly popular Despierta América to host her own show about real-life tragedies called Historias para Contar.
But the show was canceled before it was broadcast. (Was it on Fox?)
Then she did a movie with Jose Feliciano (yes THAT José Feliciano) and Raul De Molina (a well known television personality) called Feliz Navidad.
It was supposed to be released (amazingly) around Christmas, but it never showed up in theaters. (Although it did get a limited US release in November 2006).
Giselle was hosting Nuestra belleza latina, a mix of a beauty contest and a reality TV that seemed to be doing really well.
But I have read that she won't be back for the 2010 season.
